Turning Unused Yard Into Somewhere You Actually Sit
Most yards around here have a spot that never gets used. Maybe it's the strip behind the house that gets too much afternoon sun, or the corner past the driveway that just grows weeds. An outdoor living space is what happens when you stop mowing that spot and start living on it instead.
Prestige Landscaping Group FL builds those spaces for homeowners across LaBelle, Lehigh Acres, Felda, Alva and Palmdale. Owner Juan Arizmendi walks the property with you before anything gets drawn up, because the right answer depends on where the sun lands, how the water moves after a storm, and how you and your family actually spend time outside. A space that looks good in a photo but bakes at four in the afternoon isn't worth building.
Some people want a place to eat dinner outside. Some want a shaded reading corner. Some want room for twenty people at a birthday party. Those are three different builds, and we'd rather ask than guess.
What Goes Into an Outdoor Living Space
Every project is put together around what you're after, but these are the pieces we work with most often:
- Patios and paved seating areas sized to your furniture, not to a standard square
- Fire pit areas with room to pull chairs around
- Shade planting — trees and larger material placed where they'll do the most good in the afternoon
- Planting beds and borders that frame the space and keep it feeling separate from the rest of the yard
- Walkways connecting the house, the driveway and the new space so nobody's crossing wet grass
- Grading and drainage work so the area doesn't hold water after Florida rain
- Mulch, rock and ground cover to keep maintenance low around the edges
We'll tell you straight if something won't hold up. Florida heat, sandy soil and summer downpours are hard on materials and hard on plants. Anything we put in has to survive all three without you fussing over it every weekend.
How We Plan Your Space
The process is simple on purpose. Nobody needs a three-week design phase for a backyard patio.
- You call (239) 237-9787 or email prestigelandscapegroupfl@gmail.com and tell us roughly what you have in mind.
- We come out, look at the property, and talk through what's realistic for the space and the budget.
- You get a clear plan and a clear price — what's included, what it costs, how long it takes.
- We build it, clean up after ourselves, and show you how to keep it looking right.
If your ideas change partway through the conversation, that's normal. Most people don't know exactly what they want until they're standing in the yard pointing at things. That's the useful part of the visit.
We're open around the clock, seven days a week. If the only time you can talk is after a long shift, call anyway — somebody will pick up.
Serving LaBelle, Lehigh Acres, Felda, Alva and Palmdale
We work across LaBelle, Lehigh Acres, Felda, Alva and Palmdale, and the properties in those communities are not all the same. A Lehigh Acres lot is a different job from a few acres out toward Felda or Alva, and a place in Palmdale or LaBelle may have mature trees, drainage patterns or existing hardscape we need to design around.
That's the whole point of good outdoor design — it fits the property it's on. We're not carrying one template from job to job. Juan and the crew build what makes sense for your lot, your light and the way you want to use it.
If you've been staring at the same patch of grass for a couple of years thinking it could be more, give us a call at (239) 237-9787. We'll come take a look and tell you what's possible.
