A Real Lawn, Not a Patch Job
There is a point where reseeding stops being worth it. If your yard is more sand and weeds than grass, if the last owner let it go, or if a build left you looking at bare dirt, new sod is the fastest way to get a green lawn back. Owner Juan Arizmendi runs the crews and stays reachable — the phone is answered seven days a week, 24 hours a day. That matters more than it sounds. Sod is perishable. When a delivery lands or the weather turns, you want someone who picks up, not a voicemail box you get a reply from on Tuesday.
We handle full-yard installs, front-yard-only jobs, and repairs where a section has died out — around a driveway edge, under a tree that came down, or where a septic or irrigation line got dug up. No job is too small to call about.
How We Install Sod
Most sod that fails does so because of what happened before the pallets showed up. The prep is the job. Here is the order we work in:
- Walk the property with you and figure out how much ground we are actually covering, plus where the water sits after a hard rain.
- Clear out the old grass, weeds and debris so we are laying on clean soil, not on top of a dying lawn.
- Grade and level the surface — filling low spots, easing the pitch away from the foundation, and breaking up compacted ground.
- Lay the sod tight, staggering the seams like brickwork so the joints knit together instead of drying out and separating.
- Cut clean edges around beds, walkways, driveways and sprinkler heads.
- Roll and water it in, then go over the watering schedule for the first few weeks with you before we leave.
We clean up after ourselves. Pallets, offcuts, scraped-up sod — it leaves with us. You should not be looking at a pile of dead turf on your curb a week later.
Where We Work
We cover Labelle, Lehigh Acres, Felda, Alva and Palmdale. That is a mix of tight suburban lots in Lehigh Acres and wide-open acreage out toward Felda and Palmdale, and the two call for different approaches. A quarter-acre yard in a subdivision is a straightforward day's work. A few acres of open ground needs a plan for access, staging and water, and we will talk that through with you before anyone quotes a number.
Sod also tends to be one piece of a bigger project. Plenty of our customers are laying new turf at the same time they are redoing beds, so we are often out doing mulch installation and edging on the same visit. If that is where you are headed, say so when you call and we will price it together rather than making two trips of it.
